Who we are
No sales team. Just the crew.
Snap Roofing & Gutters Brooklyn is the roofing and gutter division of Snap Roofing Construction Corp., a licensed and insured New York contractor. We work across all five boroughs — mostly in Brooklyn and Queens, mostly on the referral of somebody's neighbor.
Roofing has a reputation problem, and it's earned. The industry is full of companies that send a commissioned salesperson to your kitchen table, subcontract the actual work to whoever is cheapest that week, and are unreachable when the same leak comes back in February. We built this the other way around: the owner inspects the roof, the owner quotes the job, and the owner is on site while it's being built.
That limits how many roofs we can do in a season. It also means every roof we do is one we'd put our name on, because our name is already on the truck parked out front.
How we work
Four things we don't compromise on
We tear off. Always.
No roofing over existing layers. It hides rot, traps moisture, voids warranties and costs the next owner double. It's cheaper for us and worse for you, so we don't do it.
You see the deck.
When the old roof comes off we photograph what's underneath and call you before anything gets covered. Any decking replacement is priced and agreed, not quietly added at the end.
New flashing, not reused.
Roofs almost never leak in the middle of the field — they leak at the edges and penetrations. Reusing old flashing to save a hundred dollars is how a new roof leaks.
We tell you not to buy things.
If a repair will hold, we'll quote the repair. Recommending a full replacement to someone who doesn't need one is the fastest way to never get a referral again.
The details
Licensed, insured, and easy to check
Snap Roofing Construction Corp. carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We'll send certificates directly to your co-op board, managing agent or landlord if they need them on file before work starts — that's routine for us, not a special request.
If a contractor can't produce a certificate of insurance the same day you ask for it, that tells you something important. An uninsured worker injured on your roof is your problem, not theirs.
What we work on
Pitched and flat roofs, and the mixed roofs that dominate Brooklyn: a shingle front with a flat rear, a mansard over an extension, a row house main roof behind a parapet. We install GAF architectural shingle systems, modified bitumen, EPDM and TPO, seamless aluminum and seamless aluminum gutters.
Where we work
Brooklyn first — Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Park Slope, Sheepshead Bay and everywhere in between — plus Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan and the Bronx. No travel surcharge anywhere in the five boroughs.
